Welcome to Arnot Health’s Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine
Occ Med IntroSince 1994, the Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine (commonly referred to as “COEM”) has worked hand-in-hand with a diverse array of employers in the Chemung Valley to help them improve the overall health and safety of their work force and, at the same time, reduce operating costs that often accompany occupationally-acquired injuries and illnesses. Concurrently, we’ve also been able to provide valuable assistance to employers as they have sought to comply with an expanding array of regulatory compliance and health standards implemented by the Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA).

COEM also provides a host of preventive services to the working community in the Southern Tier including worksite influenza and hepatitis B immunization programs, smoking cessation and cardiac risk reduction programs, and post-exposure HIV counseling.

In the event that a worker experiences an illness or injury that is emergent, or occurs outside of the Center’s normal business hours, the resources of the Emergency Department at Arnot Ogden Medical Center (the area’s only designated Trauma Center) are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
