Students are encouraged to join the National Nurses' Association. Member representatives gain the opportunity to attend meetings and conventions at the district, national and state levels.

A variety of social and cultural activities are available to students through both school and community resources. Churches of every denomination, a temple and a synagogue are all located convenient to Elmira College and the School of Nursing.
