ELMIRA, NY — Radio personalities from WINK 106, WINGZ 104.9 and 100 The Pig are broadcasting live today through Friday, March 12 from the lobby of Arnot Ogden Medical Center. They are urging listeners to support Children’s Miracle Network, which supports services for infants and children at the Medical Center.

“We are extremely grateful for the continuing support of Backyard Broadcasting,” said Sarah Roemmelt, event coordinator. “We are hopeful that this year’s radiothon will be successful and are depending on the generosity of area residents who are listening and calling in.”

Listeners are invited to call and make a pledge from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, March 10 and 11, and 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friday, March 12. To pledge, call 607-735-4615 or toll-free 877-638-4831. Pledges are also being accepted at the radio stations’ websites.

Since 1992, Children’s Miracle Network at Arnot Ogden Medical Center has raised more than $2,000,000 to support health care services for infants and children in a nine-county region of southern New York and northern Pennsylvania. Each year, Arnot Ogden Medical Center cares for more than 360 premature or critically ill infants in need of highly specialized care in its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Medical Center is a non-profit organization, and has a very active pediatric program, which serves more than 400 children annually. No children are ever turned away, regardless of ability to pay for services.

Arnot Health provides diagnostic, ambulatory, secondary and tertiary acute care, as well as rehabilitative and wellness services to the Southern Tier of New York and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. Arnot Ogden Medical Center is an independent, not-for-profit, 256-bed tertiary medical facility with more than 300 physicians from over 50 specialties.
